After approximately 10-14 days after being hired by USPS, you will get a letter in the mail with a temporary SSP password. Now that you’ve had your temporary password, you’ll need to convert it to a permanent one by visiting the USPS website and clicking “Change Password.” If you’d want to update your security questions, password, or email, you’ll need to use your employee ID and temporary password.

How Do I Create or Reset My LiteBlue Password?

You use your SSP Password to access self-service web applications that have been in existence since April 2014. But if you haven’t done so, or if you have forgotten your password, you can click here or follow the steps on the LiteBlue login page to reset it. LiteBlue

As soon as you arrive at this page, click on the “Enter SSP” button. Enter your eight-digit Employee ID under the ‘Forgot Password?’ link on the left-hand side of the page. A new password will be sent to you if you click the “Verify Employee ID” button and complete the onscreen steps.

I Cannot Log In to LiteBlue – What Could Be the Problem?

Logging in can be difficult for USPS employees on occasion, so make sure you are providing the correct information first. Employee IDs are eight digits long, while LiteBlue SSP passwords are between eight and sixteen characters long.

After entering the data, double-check to make sure there are no mistakes in spelling or punctuation. Make sure your computer’s keyboard has both CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK disabled if you are using it.

It is important for employees to know that SSP passwords and ACE passwords are separate and distinct. If you have a USPS Personal Identification Number (PIN), you can use it only while interacting with Self Service IVRs (Interactive Voice Response Systems), not web services.

Any characters that aren’t listed here can’t be used. Passwords that include both upper and lower case letters must be entered with caution since LiteBlue passwords are case sensitive.

You should be aware of these common login issues as well as possible issues with LiteBlue and the USPS extranet, which could make it impossible for you to access your account at certain times.
