5 Reason why you should upgrade your iPhone to IOS 15.1

iOS 15.1 is now available to the entire public. This update arrived a month after Apple released iOS 15 and postponed the release of some key improvements that got scheduled to accompany it. Here’s what’s new in iOS 15.1 that should convince you to update your iPhone right now.

List of 5 Reasons to Upgrade Your iPhone to IOS 15.1

Below is mentioned the rundown of 5 major reasons why you should upgrade your iPhone to IOS 15.1. Take a look!!

Vaccination card for COVID-19 in the Wallet app

Do you remember when Apple partnered with Google to provide an API to track those infected with COVID-19? People can now proudly display their immunization cards within the Apple Wallet app with iOS 15.1 as the pandemic fades.

This feature gets powered by the SMART Health Cards specification. It means that if your healthcare provider or state uses the SMART Health Cards platform, you can share verifiable health records stored in the Health app. This can be done with approved third-party apps, such as airlines, event venues, and other businesses.

With iOS 15.1 comes the release of SharePlay.

SharePlay is one of the most eagerly anticipated features of iOS 15. Unfortunately, Apple disabled this feature in the middle of beta testing the software. However. it got tested again with iOS 15.1 beta 1. Thankfully, with the introduction of iOS 15.1, this feature is now available to all users.

You may use FaceTime to connect with up to a dozen friends or family members and host viewing parties, listen to music, or exercise together with SharePlay. This functionality gets already supported by a few apps, and you can learn more about it here.

Professional users of the iPhone 13 Pro can use ProRes.

Last month, Apple revealed that ProRes support is arriving at iPhone 13 Pro models later this year. That is a more pure approach to shooting and editing videos. It is popular among filmmakers, YouTubers, and others.

For devices with 256GB of storage or more, ProRes capture is available at up to 30fps in 4K and up to 60fps in 1080p with iOS 15.1. If you have a 128GB iPhone 13 Pro, you’ll only be able to capture 1080p at 30 frames per second.

iOS 15.1 has improved macro photography.

The ability to turn off macro photography is another enhancement for iPhone 13 Pro users. This feature is only available on the new Pro iPhones, and it allows users to shoot photos or record videos up to 2 centimeters away from the subject.

Additionally, if you don’t want Macron photography to turn on, it will do so automatically. It’s now possible to turn it off in the camera’s settings. Even if there isn’t a Night mode toggle in the main camera app, it’s still better than nothing.

Tools for Shortcuts

If you like using Shortcuts, you’ll be happy to know that the program has to get improved. With iOS 15.1, you can overlay text on photographs or gifs with new pre-built actions, and you may pass the time with Siri with a fresh collection of games.

Try “Music Quiz,” a game in which you must guess the titles of five of your favorite songs. You can then tell your friends about it or invite them to play with you.

Conclusion

This is all about it!! There are a lot of new features in iOS 15.1 that will be the key motivation for most people to upgrade. Security fixes, however, are the best rationale for an upgrade that is otherwise plainly still full of defects, in my opinion.

Expect iOS 15.2 to go into beta testing soon, but expect an “unexpected” 15.1.1 and iOS 15.1.2 to appear before then while Apple works out the bugs.
