The Call of the Wild is an American adventure film based on a 1903 novel named Jack London. The film is set in the 1980s Klondike Gold Rush. The film followed a dog named Buck. Buck is a big-hearted dog whose happy domestic life gets turned upside down when he suddenly gets shifted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon from his California home in the 1890s. He experiences the adventure of a lifetime as he ultimately finds his proper place in the world.
The film received mixed reviews from critics. The film grossed $110 million.

In October 2017, it was announced that 20th Century Fox would develop the film. Chris Sanders was supposed to direct the movie, script by Michael Green, and produced by Erwin Stoff. In July 2018, Ford starring Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, was cast in the film. Colin Woodell joined the cast in August 2018, in September 2018, Omar Sy and Karen Gillan were added, and in November 2018, Cara Gee was added.
In Los Angeles, in late September 2018, principal photography began. Extensive use of CGI was made. Moving Picture Company provided the visual effects for the film. The production team used computer animation to create a realistic version of the dog Buck. It was announced that John Powell would compose the film’s score in January 2019. On February 21, 2020, by Hollywood Records, the soundtrack was released digitally. John Powell composed and conducted all music. There are 23 tracks in the film.
